Overview
Our Reablement Support Officers work with a number of people in the community each day. You’ll travel to the people’s homes to support them with regaining skills and confidence to enable them to become more independent, actively promoting their choice and dignity.
Shift PatternCycle: 4 days on, followed by 4 days off.
Per 4‑day block: 2 Morning Shifts 07:00‑11:30, 2 Evening Shifts 18:00‑22:30. Total Weekly

16. Pay: £14.88‑£15.68 per hour, depending on experience. Your office base will be Chedworth Close in Ecton Brook, Northampton. We pay for whole shifts and up to 45p per mile.

- Visit multiple individuals in their own homes, mostly working independently and sometimes with a colleague.
- Monitor progress and support day‑to‑day activities – personal care, meal preparation, mobility and accessing the community to enable them to regain independence.
- Manage Reablement journeys from initial assessment through to discharge.
- Assess needs after referral and support individuals in planning Reablement goals.
- Signpost to other agencies – Assistive Technology, Age UK, Northamptonshire Carers, etc.
- Confident working independently, able to handle unexpected situations or challenges, identify the source of a problem and find an effective solution.
- Experience with in a health or social care setting and currently have or be willing to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle required – you will travel countywide within Northamptonshire.
- Will receive a comprehensive induction.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (subject to Rehabilitation of Offenders Act exemption).
