Internal Account Manager

Northampton

£40,000 with bonus up to £10k

We're looking for an Internal Account Manager with a solid background in B2B product sales and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role is ideal for someone with previous commercial sales experience and the ability to manage & develop their own portfolio of customers. You'll need to be a strong communicator who can build rapport, understand client needs, and identify opportunities to grow revenue within each account.

The Role
  • As Internal Account Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of customers, ensuring they receive an exceptional level of service while identifying opportunities to grow revenue.
  • Take a consultative approach to understanding customer requirements and ensure they receive the right products and solutions.
  • Following up on leads, quotations and proposals, and sending product samples
  • Winning and onboarding new customers.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Handling daily enquiries, resolving issues quickly and professionally
  • Booking meetings for the external sales team
  • Working closely with internal departments to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Keeping CRM records up to date and tracking performance metrics.
About You
  • Experienced in account management or B2B sales (ideally product-based)
  • A strong communicator capable of building rapport
  • Commercially aware with a proactive mindset
  • Highly organised and confident managing multiple priorities
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft 365
Additional Information
  • Base salary: £40,000, up to £10,000 bonus, and profit sharing scheme
  • Hours:

    Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
  • 100% office based, Northampton NN3
