Retail Team Leader – Superdry Northampton

Superdry is looking for a Retail Team Leader (also known as Brand Lead) to manage and inspire the store team in delivering an exceptional customer brand experience.

Base Pay Range

Responsibilities Operations & Service
  • Passionately use local knowledge and sales expertise to deliver the ultimate brand experience.
  • Become an expert in Superdry style choices and bring these to life for consumers.
  • Make important decisions about what’s best for consumers, handling in‑store issues and taking ownership.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by role‑modeling Superdry behaviours, values, and style.
  • Be a positive role model, building trust through collaboration, open and honest communication.
  • Continuously develop product knowledge and understanding of the business.
  • Take pride in store appearance, ensuring the store maintains the Superdry look.
  • Take ownership for delivering business objectives set by the Store Leader, coaching the team to meet retail standards and service expectations.
  • Support key compliance tasks where needed, including loss prevention and health and safety.
  • Exceed expectations at every opportunity and foster this attitude in the wider team.
  • Share the Superdry culture and take every opportunity to spread it among colleagues.
  • Maintain commercial awareness of the store, understanding KPI requirements and bringing fresh ideas to the leadership team.
  • Get things done – proactively create productive days that positively impact the store.
  • Be authentic and genuine; remain yourself.
  • Hold keys for the store and be responsible for opening, closing, and cash handling.
People (Responsibility may vary by store)
  • Support day‑to‑day supervision of the team.
  • Motivate teammates to deliver exceptional service.
  • Provide clear direction to focus team activity on and off the shop floor, inspiring and engaging associates to achieve daily targets.
  • Lead the team, along with managers, to hit store targets and create a great workplace.
  • Coordinate the team across operational tasks, guiding them with operational expertise.
  • Provide timely feedback to associates, recognising success and positively challenging poor performance.
  • Contribute to the business talent review process and performance reviews.

  • Experienced in retail/sales and operations, ready to step up.
  • Passionate about the brand and consumers, able to create memorable experiences for every customer.
  • Obsessed with style and product.
  • Experienced in leading and motivating a team through day‑to‑day activities.
