Skilled Machinist – Metal Cutting

Hours: Days Monday to Friday

Our client, a leading team within the Formula One industry, is seeking an experienced Skilled Machinist with strong metal cutting expertise to join their high-performance manufacturing division.

This is a key role supporting the production of precision components essential for race performance, development, and reliability.

This long‑term contract provides the opportunity to work with cutting‑edge materials, world‑class machinery, and a team renowned for engineering excellence.

• Proven background as a Precision Machinist, CNC Machinist, Grinder, or similar within high‑tolerance engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of metal cutting principles, including tool selection, chip formation, speeds/feeds, and machining strategy.
• Experience with either grinding operations and / or CNC programming would be highly desirable).
• Ability to work to extremely tight tolerances typically required in motor sport, aerospace, or high‑precision manufacturing.
• Confident reading engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with exotic materials common in F1 (e.g., titanium, Inconel, high‑grade steels, aluminium alloys).
• Excellent problem‑solving ability and a proactive approach to fine‑tuning machining processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering right‑first‑time quality.
