Electrical / Mechanical Site Maintenance Engineer

Window & Door Manufacturing - Glazing Industry

We are seeking an experienced Electrical / Mechanical Site Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established window and door manufacturing business within the glazing and fenestration sector. This is a hands‑on role supporting the day‑to‑day operation of a busy production facility, ensuring machinery, equipment, and site services remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.

The role will involve planned and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical and mechanical systems, including CNC machinery, fabrication equipment, conveyors, compressors, and general plant machinery commonly used in window and door manufacturing. You will play a key role in minimising downtime, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical and mechanical maintenance of manufacturing machinery and plant
  • Fault finding, diagnostics, and breakdown repairs
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Supporting production teams to reduce downtime
  • Ensuring health & safety and compliance standards are met
  • Assisting with installations, upgrades, and process improvements
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (or time-served experience)
  • Experience with machinery used in window, door, or glazing manufacturing preferred
  • Strong fault‑finding skills and a proactive approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
  • PLC fault‑finding experience
  • Knowledge of CNC machinery
  • Experience with in the glazing, fenestration, or construction manufacturing sector
