Location:
Northampton & surrounding areas Synergy Care & Education are supporting our partner settings in Northamptonshire to appoint an exceptional Transformation Director to lead a focused and high-impact school improvement programme. This is a pace-driven, outcomes-focused leadership opportunity for a proven senior leader with turnaround experience in Alternative Provision, SEND or SEMH environments. The Opportunity You will lead a rapid 3–6 month transformation programme, driving measurable improvements in:
Quality of Education Leadership & Management Safeguarding Culture Learner Outcomes Inspection Readiness This role requires visible leadership, decisive action and the ability to quickly diagnose areas for development, implement targeted interventions and embed sustainable systems that secure long-term stability beyond the interim period.
Key Responsibilities Conduct a swift and robust diagnostic of both settings Develop and implement a clear improvement roadmap Strengthen leadership accountability and performance Ensure compliance with Ofsted EIF and Independent School Standards Maintain and enhance safeguarding culture in complex environments Provide regular board-level reporting and strategic updates Embed systems that remain effective beyond the interim period Person Specification We are seeking a senior leader who brings:
Essential: QTS or QTLS Degree (or equivalent senior leadership experience) Strong knowledge of Ofsted EIF and inspection frameworks Deep understanding of Independent School Standards Significant safeguarding expertise Proven school improvement / turnaround experience Senior leadership experience within Alternative Provision, SEND or SEMH settings Experience leading change at pace Desirable: NPQH or NPQSL Board-level reporting experience
