Join us as a BIA VP - Credit Risk where you will lead a broad-wide team initiatives around improving our processes through AI and Coding and effective use of Data (basic knowledge of Python/SQL is required). You will have sound knowledge around Capital Reporting / RWA including expected Credit Risk controls to support this process.

Essential Skills/

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading a small team and drive stakeholders discussions during audit assignments
  • Experience with Internal or external audit experience, with solid knowledge of processes, risks, and controls, and familiarity Wholesale Credit Risk (Finance and Model Risk awareness is a plus)
  • You will be skilled at simplifying complex topics, translating technical or data‑heavy concepts into clear, accessible messages for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • You should be self‑driven learning mindset, with the ability to quickly understand, explore, and adopt new automation platforms, AI capabilities, and technical enhancements to improve effectiveness and remain future‑ready.

This role will be based in Northampton.

Purpose of the role

To support the development of audits aligned to the bank’s standards and objectives by working collaboratively with colleagues, providing accurate information and recommendations, and complying with policies and procedures.

Accountabilities
  • Audit development and delivery support, including financial statements, accounting practices, operational processes, IT systems and risk management.
  • Identification of operational risks to support the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Audit Plan through risk assessments.
  • Assessment of internal control effectiveness and their capability to identify and mitigate risk aligned to regulatory requirements.
  • Communication of key findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including the Audit Owner, senior managers and directors.
  • Identification of regulatory news and industry trends/developments to provide timely insight and recommendations for best practice.
