Position: Registered Manager (Ofsted)

Maple Grove Children’s Services is embarking on an exciting new journey, opening a warm, therapeutic 3-bed home in NN4, Northampton for children aged 8–17. We’re seeking a passionate, values-led Registered Manager who can hit the ground running to lead the home to outstanding outcomes and a strong Ofsted rating.
Salary, bonus and benefits
* £50,000–£52,000 per annum (depending on experience)

* What you’ll do
* * Register with Ofsted as the Home’s Manager and ensure full compliance with:

* Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards

* Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and local procedures

* Lead and develop a high-performing team:

* Supervision, coaching, appraisals, training, and reflective practice

* Robust rota management and safe staffing

* Deliver high-quality, safe care:

* Placement matching, admissions, care planning and risk management

* Incident oversight, safeguarding and escalation, learning reviews

* Drive outcomes and performance:

* Placement stability, education engagement, health outcomes and participation

* Maintain meticulous records, audits and Regulation 44/45 processes; prepare for and lead inspections

* Manage referrals, occupancy and budget; build strong relationships with local authorities, Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs), families and community partners

* Participate in the on-call rota and provide operational cover when required

* What you’ll bring

* Experience:

Proven experience as a Registered Manager in an Ofsted-registered children’s residential home. Exceptional Deputy Managers with substantial acting-up experience and a near-complete Level 5 qualification will be considered.

* Qualifications:

* * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) essential, or near completion with a commitment to complete

* Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent) desirable

* Safeguarding expertise and Ofsted readiness, with a track record of good/outstanding practice or clear understanding of the inspection framework

* Leadership:
Calm, resilient, child-first decision-making; able to build a positive, accountable culture in a start-up environment

* Organisation and governance:
Confident with audits, data/KPIs and electronic recording systems

* Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
