Senior Data Product Manager
Step into the role of a Senior Data Product Manager at Barclays, where you'll drive the development of key data products, working with business owners to capture the key priorities and shape the problem statement into a clear backlog of ready work for the feature team. Define the roadmap for given data products, prioritise backlog and ensure deliverables meet the definition of done.
The purpose of this role is to collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process and utilise their knowledge of the bank’s technologies to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap.
The role may be based out of Northampton or Knutsford.

Accountabilities- Development of customer‑level strategies & solutions tailored to customers’ needs.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert in the applicable Product/Proposition team and confidently guide and advise stakeholders at all levels in the Bank on the application of existing and new products/propositions and related customer and colleague journeys.
- Develop product propositions, define priorities and lead execution of the priorities.
- Create different commercial and business models through a strong understanding of the financial drivers of the P&L for the relevant segment/proposition/journey.
- Evaluate technical feasibility, legal compliance and potential risks associated with the development and launch of new products.
- Monitor market trends and analyse feedback from internal employees and target customers through prototypes, user testing sessions and beta programs to identify areas for improvement before launch.
- Manage comprehensive launch plans and technical deployments for products, establishing rollout timelines, marketing strategies, training initiatives and communication channels to promote the launch.
- Monitor key metrics such as adoption rates, usage patterns, customer satisfaction (including complaints) and revenue generation to assess the product’s performance against set goals.
- Contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change. Plan resources, budgets and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes; deliver continuous improvements and raise breaches of policies or procedures.
- If managing a team: define jobs and responsibilities, plan for departmental needs, counsel employees on performance and contribute to employee pay decisions or changes. May lead specialists to influence operations of a department in alignment with strategic and tactical priorities, balancing short‑ and long‑term goals.
