Barclays is looking for a highly capable Risk Reduction Project Manager to lead and execute strategic projects that enhance our risk posture. You will play a central role in project delivery, team leadership, and building out critical functions that support our business objectives.

• Scope Management:
  Manage a single project with specific, defined objectives, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Strategic Focus:
  Operate more tactically, focusing on day‑to‑day management of resources, schedules, and deliverables for a project.
• Time Horizon:
  Work within a defined timeframe; each project has a set beginning and end.
• Stakeholder Management:
  Communicate and set expectations for stakeholders related to the project’s deliverables.
• Risk and Issue Management:
  Identify and mitigate risks and issues specific to the project within its scope.
• Resource Management:
  Ensure the project team has the necessary skills, tools, and time to complete the work.
• Financial Management:
  Manage the project budget and keep the project within financial constraints.
• Metrics:
  Measure success based on timely completion of deliverables within scope, time, and budget.
• Change Management:
  Manage changes that directly impact the project, including scope, timeline, or resource adjustments.

• Proven experience in Project Management.
• Demonstrable success in leading strategic projects and people.
• Proficiency in RAID reviews and Waterfall Methodology.
• Strong command of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Additional qualifications in Project Management (Prince2, Agile, PMP, Scrum, or P30).
• Experience using Gantt Tracker or similar project tracking software.
• Assessment may be performed on risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job‑specific technical skills.

• Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and operational effectiveness.
• Lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, coach employees and conduct performance appraisal.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviours (Listen, Energise, Align, Develop) to create an empowering environment.
• For individuals, lead collaborative assignments, guide team members through structured tasks, and identify cross‑functional expertise.
• Consult on complex issues and advise People Leaders on escalated issues.
• Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies and procedures to support control and governance.
• Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls related to work performed.
• Collaborate with other areas to align with business strategy and keep up to speed on business activity.
• Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple internal and external sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• Communicate complex information clearly to varied audiences.
• Influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
