Location: Northampton (Hybrid, 1 day in the office)

Salary: Up to £55,000

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Our client is looking for a Technical Lead – Digital Products to provide technical leadership and assurance across key digital platforms. Working closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, and the Head of Digital Products & UX, this role ensures digital platforms are robust, reliable, and aligned with organisational goals.

This is a strategic, oversight-focused role rather than hands‑on coding, ideal for candidates who enjoy shaping platform quality, influencing delivery, and working at the intersection of technology, product, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance across digital platforms, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, accessible, and reliable
  • Act as a trusted technical partner to Product Managers and Product Owners, supporting product delivery and prioritisation
  • Support the Head of Digital Products & UX as a key technical advisor
  • Manage external suppliers and digital agencies
    , ensuring high-quality delivery
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and dependencies across products
  • Use data, analytics, and user feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain technical standards, documentation, and ways of working
Required Experience
  • Experience in technical oversight or assurance for digital platforms
  • Strong understanding of digital architectures, CMS, and third-party delivery models
  • Experience working in product‑led or agile environments
  • Familiarity with Drupal CMS and Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Experience managing external suppliers or agencies
  • Knowledge of accessibility, performance, and security best practices
