Job Description & How to Apply Below

theRole

Ideally we are looking for someone who has done something similar in the Legal industry and has a bit of energy and fizz.

Reporting to the IT Director, you will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and daily operational excellence. You will lead a talented team to maintain a secure, resilient, and high-performing environment. You will be responsible for a team of 8 to 9 people spread across two or three offices in the Midlands and the East (Norwich and Nottingham principally). We are looking for a senior team member who can support the CIO and will be responsible for the help‑desk, information security, and operations team.

You will also be responsible for delivering projects for the organisation, though you won’t necessarily be expected to project‑manage yourself but can allocate projects to one of the team. Whilst you are not expected to be crawling around desks, we would like someone who is technically aware.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the IT Director to implement firm‑wide IT and AI strategies.
  • Mentor and manage the IT Operations team, fostering a culture of high service standards and continuous learning.
  • Oversee and optimise our hybrid environment (on‑premises and cloud).
  • Lead the charge on ISO
    27001 / ISO
22301 audits and manage Cyber Essentials Plus renewals.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Adoption Team to bring new technology projects to life.
  • Participate in the out‑of‑hours rota and provide high‑level stakeholder support.
Technical Toolkit
  • Deep experience with M365 (Exchange, SharePoint, One Drive) and Azure/Cloud infrastructure.
  • Expert knowledge of Windows OS, SQL Server, Active Directory, and Power Shell scripting.
  • Proven track record in Enterprise Backup, Replication, and Disaster Recovery.
  • A strong foundation in data security best practices.
  • The ability to take a project from concept to completion on time and on budget.
What’s On Offer
  • Financial Reward: £55‑60k, profit‑share scheme, and discretionary bonus.
  • Health & Wellbeing:
Comprehensive private medical cover and a dedicated wellbeing calendar.
  • Time Out: 25 days holiday plus a paid ‘charity day’ to support a cause you love.
  • Growth:
Learn from a diverse team of experts in an "Investors in People" accredited environment.
