Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our team in Northampton. As a Support Worker you will support individuals with learning disabilities, assisting with daily activities, providing emotional support and helping them lead more independent lives.

• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation and medication reminders.
• Provide emotional and social support to promote the well‑being of service users.
• Build positive relationships with service users, families and colleagues.
• Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Part‑time (7:00 AM – 9:00 PM)
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine empathy towards people with learning disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

• No specific prior experience required – we value personality and values.
• Suitable references and an enhanced DBS check.
• Not suitable for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship as the salary level does not meet the UKVI threshold.
