Senior Accounts Assistant - Northampton
Salary from £35,000 per annum.
Location:
Upper Heyford, Northamptonshire (off Junction 16 of the M1).
Gtechniq are manufacturers of advanced car, bike, marine and aviation care products. We are a fast-growing team based in Upper Heyford, Northamptonshire (off Junction 16 of the M1). Due to our continued expansion, we have a new opportunity for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. This is a full time, permanent position based at our office in Upper Heyford, Northants.
ReportingTo The Financial Controller, Your Duties Will Include
- Processing the weekly, monthly, US (bi-weekly) and French (monthly) payrolls
- Creating, managing and processing the pension files
- Maintaining and updating monthly management accounts, including transaction review and main journals
- Maintaining/updating the staff allowance spreadsheet
- Monthly reconciliation of external stock held at Amazon UK and US
- Reconciliation of sales from UL to sales on Xero
- Assisting with audit preparation
- Ensuring all invoicing from Gtechniq UK to Gtechniq France is entered onto Xero, including booking in stock on UL
- Completion of sales invoices on UL France, ensuring sales invoices are entered onto Xero and match with receipts
- Credit control for Gtechniq France customers on wholesale portal
- Monthly reconciliation of sales and purchase between Gtechniq UK and France
- Assisting with French VAT return as required
- Amazon payment reconciliation for Amazon France
- Walmart payment reconciliation for Gtechniq North America
- Monthly reconciliation of stock held externally, including Amazon France, Walmart US, US and China 3PL
- Holiday cover for Finance team as required
- Minimum 4 years experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
- Previous payroll experience essential
- Strong software skills, especially Excel
- Good understanding of transactional finance and month‑end processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Preferably hold an accounting qualification
