Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer for one of our clients who are a multinational market leader in sustainable packaging solutions.

This position is a home‑based field service role that includes installation, maintenance, and servicing machinery on their customer sites. You will predominantly be working in the UK, with occasional travel to Ireland and Europe.

• Installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance of new machines
• Ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of machines
• Managing scheduled maintenance of machines entrusted to you (ensuring problems are solved before they become issues for their customers)
• Assessing mechanical wear and replacing worn components
• Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults
• Input to the continuous improvement of the machine design

• Experience with installing, maintaining, and repairing electro‑mechanical machinery
• A suitable engineering qualification in an electrical discipline
• Practical experience of PLCs
• Willingness to travel
• Experience in a customer facing position
• Experience in FMCG environments
• Experience with packaging machinery is desirable
