Multi‑Disciplinary Trainee Estimator / Bid Writer / Business Development

Corby | Salary: £25,000-£35,000 + 10% bonus | Full‑time, office‑based

A long‑established UK roofing contractor with 45+ years' experience delivering commercial and industrial roofing projects nationwide. Based in Corby, the business specialises in refurbishment and flat roofing across Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial and Public Sector environments. A rare trainee opportunity combining Estimating, Bid Writing and Business Development. You'll receive full training across all three areas, gaining technical, commercial and written experience before choosing your long‑term career path.

Ideal for someone ambitious, reliable and eager to build a career in construction.

• Quantity take‑offs and measurements
• Supporting tender documents, pricing schedules and cost plans
• Requesting and comparing supplier/subcontractor quotes
• Assisting with scope summaries, clarifications and value engineering
• Working on roofing tenders from £50k-£3m

• Drafting PQQs and written quality submissions
• Gathering technical content from internal teams
• Maintaining case studies, CVs and method statements
• Using AI tools to turn bullet points into polished content

• Supporting client relationships
• Calls, meetings and networking
• Occasional site visits
• Helping manage tender pipeline and opportunities

• £25,000-£35,000 salary (DOE)
• 10% discretionary bonus

• Fri: 08:30-16:00
