We are looking for a dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join one of our partner Nurseries in Northampton. The role is a full-time position, starting in January 2026.

You will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education for our children, supporting their development through purposeful play and learning. As part of the room team, you’ll plan and deliver engaging activities, act as a key person for a small group of children and work closely with parents to ensure every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn.

About

the Nursery

The Nursery is a well-established, family‑focused setting based in Northampton. They pride themselves on creating a safe, stimulating, and caring environment where children aged 3 months to 5 years can learn, explore, and flourish.

Their highly qualified and passionate team provide child‑led learning experiences inspired by curiosity, outdoor play, and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). They truly value creativity, kindness, and teamwork — both for their children and our staff.

About You

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, caring, and committed to giving every child the best possible start in life. You’ll be confident in your childcare practice, motivated to learn, and a great communicator with both children and adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate a variety of engaging and age‑appropriate learning experiences aligned with the EYFS.
  • Act as a key person, observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress while building strong relationships with families.
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children, always following safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with your team to create a positive, welcoming, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
  • Support the room leader and management team in maintaining high standards of care, organisation, and curriculum delivery.
Prerequisites
  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, child development, and safeguarding.
  • Experience working in an early year setting (nursery, preschool, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s early learning and development.
