The Senior Business Analyst (BA) is crucial in implementing Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solutions for EXL Clients. Responsibilities include requirements gathering, data profiling, documentation, and deployment. The BA collaborates with internal and client teams to ensure project success, participating in discovery and design sessions and translating architecture into solution components like data models and reports. Practical experience with SQL and data warehouses is essential.

This role involves Data Governance, Data Quality, MDM, Business Intelligence, Cloud, Big Data, Data Modeling, and Project Management. Travel to client sites is required. • Collects business and technical requirements via interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis.
• Documents business and technical specs, ensuring updates remain relevant.
• Defines sources for data warehouse attributes and maps them, including necessary transformation algorithms.
• Generates documentation for business processes (As Is – To Be), functional and technical specs, and use cases.
• Identifies opportunities to streamline or improve existing data management processes.
• Performs gap analysis of policies, processes, and capabilities against frameworks or target states.
• Assists with roadmap creation, incorporating prioritization, dependency analysis, and resourcing.
• Develops data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings, and a business glossary in collaboration with Data SMEs and stakeholders.
• Creates business rules for data acquisition, integration, and quality monitoring.
• Gathers and documents reports, analyses, and data access requirements.
• Assesses and documents the structure, quality, and conformance of source data.
• Initiates analysis to identify and resolve data inconsistencies, improving data integrity.
• Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends in data and recommends business and process improvements.
• Collaborates with team members, leadership, and clients on status, risks, issues, and decisions.
• Supports tech lead and developers with business and data inquiries.
• Collaborates with Project Managers and engages in project planning.
• Conducts feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and assists in prioritizing deliverables.
• Serves as the bridge between business units, technology, and support teams.
• Generates reports to aid stakeholders and project teams as needed.
