Product Category Manager
Northampton, UK (HQ‑based)
Salary £45,000 – £50,000 per annum

This pivotal role covers end‑to‑end product category management for the three sales channels – Automotive, Bike and Marine. From developing the strategic innovation product roadmap for each channel portfolio, to leading the development and launch of new products, and executing commercial plans to optimise performance, you will contribute strongly to the business growth ambitions. You will ensure effective ranging, product lifecycle management based on strong consumer insight, market and competitor understanding and retail dynamics.
Working cross‑functionally across sales, marketing, R&D, operations, procurement and finance, you will play a central role in driving the product category agenda. This role reports to the Head of Sales and Marketing.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to inform product decisions, enhancements and future opportunities.
- Own and drive new products from concept through development to market launch, coordinating inputs across R&D, Marketing, Operations and Sales.
- Actively manage the existing product portfolio, ensuring products remain relevant, well‑positioned and aligned to customer and market needs.
- Track product performance post‑launch across the portfolio, identifying opportunities for improvement, rationalisation or extension.
- Develop and maintain pricing structures, working with Sales and Finance to ensure commercial competitiveness across markets.
- Support new product and range decisions with clear, data‑driven business cases, including cost, pricing and commercial impact.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to align priorities, manage timelines and ensure effective execution from development through to launch.
- Ensure products meet required quality standards and regulatory requirements, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- 5+ years experience in a Product Manager or Product Owner role.
- Experience supporting products through development and launch cycles.
- Strong commercial and analytical capability, particularly around pricing and performance.
- Comfortable working cross‑functionally and managing multiple priorities.
- Clear, confident communicator able to coordinate across technical and commercial teams.
