Hearing Screening Associates (HSA) is a full-service company that offers an all-inclusive service for screening the hearing of newborn infants. The concept covers everything from personnel and testing to equipment to reporting and billing.

Hearing Screening Associates is hiring for a Clinical Operations Supervisor responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Newborn Hearing Screening Teams and the hospitals they serve. They will be responsible for their respective hospitals; ensuring all newborn infants hearing is screened before discharged from the hospital.

Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new screeners at assigned hospitals.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of screeners in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the oversight of all newborn hearing data for assigned hospitals.
  • Compiles & reports data to HSA and hospital management as needed.
  • Supports screeners and hospital staff as on-site resource.
  • Conducts training sessions and competency checks as needed.
  • Performs duties of Newborn Screening Technician as needed.
  • Ensures data accuracy for newborns requiring additional screening.
  • Communicates with facility that conducts follow-up testing and ensures we obtain best possible information on results of diagnostic testing.
  • Maintains accurate Hi Track data.
  • Executes state’s EHDI Rules, Regulations and Guidelines.
  • Oversight of timely and accurate onboarding of screeners by monitoring the onboarding document.
  • Ensures accurate delivery of billing documents for all assigned hospitals.
  • Contributes actively with improvement of the screening service to ensure delivery matching hospital’s needs.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Audiology degree, RN or other significant experience in newborn hearing screening required; must maintain licensure if required within the assigned regional states.
  • Experience leading a team in a hospital setting, a plus.
  • Knowledgeable of Audiology Equipment and Uses.

Travel:

  • Ability to travel 20-25% with overnight stays may be required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Must maintain updated immunization records.
