What will you be doing?

As a Supervisor, you’ll respond to referrals and advise on eligibility for services. You will also support a group of staff in carrying out social care assessments with individuals, and put in place ongoing support plans to meet each individual’s needs.

Our Supervisors assist the registered manager in the training and induction of staff to ensure an appropriately competent team. Your management skills will inspire your team and promote a culture of open communication.

You’ll set clear goals for your team, prioritise and direct the workload, recognise high performance, give regular feedback, and listen to and act on your team’s concerns.

You’ll monitor performance, identify training needs, and provide coaching that ensures good practices are developed and maintained within the service.

Deputise for the registered manager in their absence, including monitoring service quality and taking action to address operational difficulties.

Ultimately, your role is to lead a team to provide high‑quality, person‑centred care that promotes the dignity, privacy, safety and independence of people using the service.

Shifts:

A mixture of late and early shifts, between 7 am and 10:30 pm with alternate weekend working and bank holidays.

Unfortunately, this role does not meet the legal requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. We cannot accept individuals on full‑time sponsorship who seek this as a second or main job, as care is no longer a Skilled Worker occupation.

About you
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD to demonstrate knowledge of the latest research and good practice guidance.
  • QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or relevant discipline (if not held, must be willing to work towards).
  • Knowledge and understanding of National Care Standards.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of the customer group sufficient to lead, direct and train staff.
  • Basic computer skills in Word, Excel and email.
  • A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle required as you will travel county‑wide as and when required.
