SENCO – Combined school (Primary & Secondary)

Start Date: Asap
Contract: Long‑term supply - Temp to perm option available for suitable candidate
Working Pattern: Full time
We are working with a welcoming and supportive combined school in Northampton who are seeking an experienced SENCO to join their team on a Temp to perm basis, starting after Easter or as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for a committed SEN professional looking to make a positive impact in a great school.
The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and leading SEND provision across the school, ensuring students receive high‑quality, inclusive support.
Key duties will include:- Leading and managing the school’s SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice
- Lead at team of 4+
- Primary and secondary needs
- Team teach experience would be desirable
- Autism experience
- Planning and mapping delivery. Identifying, assessing, and reviewing students with SEND
- Developing and maintaining EHCPs, support plans, and provision maps
- Liaising with parents, carers, external agencies, and professionals
- Supporting and advising teaching staff on effective SEND strategies
- Monitoring progress and outcomes for students with additional needs
- Ensuring statutory requirements and compliance are met
