ECMH Mental Health Clinician (2141) 12-CES - Main Office - Northampton, MA 01060.

Salary Range: $25.00 - $28.00 hourly. Education Level: Graduate Degree.

The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) is seeking a positive and professional Early Childhood Mental Health Clinician with expertise in early childhood mental health and parenting education.

We are social workers and early childhood development specialists with years of experience in counseling, consulting, teaching, parenting, training, and connecting with community resources. We are passionate about building resilience for children and families, and support early educators in this pursuit.

Highlights of What You Will Do
  • Outreach and provide onsite mental health consultation to EEC licensed early education and care programs and/or public school preschool to assist them in meeting the social and emotional needs of children and families, using research-based practices.
  • Provide parenting education, collateral work with parents and onsite consultation for early educators.
  • Serve as a parenting resource specialist by providing information and guidance to parents and other professionals who work with young children.
  • Plan and provide both parent and early educator professional development workshops.
Qualifications
  • Hold a MSW or Early Childhood Degree.
  • Have 3–5 years of experience in early childhood mental health or a related field.
  • Proficient in the use of technology.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Interested in building stronger school‑family partnerships to improve academic and behavioral outcomes.
  • Excited about working with teachers and parents/caregivers to help them be more successful at building on the child’s strengths and meeting their needs.
  • Required:

    Master’s level degree in a field of study related to Early Childhood Mental Health.
  • Experience working with young children and families.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative manner.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task and prioritize work effectively.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Must be dependable.
  • Use of a strengths‑based approach.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current License or Certification: LICSW.
  • Experience working with young children.
  • Knowledge of community resources available for parents and early education and care programs and providers.
  • Knowledge of adult learners and experience working/providing workshops for adults.
Working Conditions
  • Part‑time position of 15 to 28 hours per week as determined by grant funding.
  • Requires working a flexible schedule to include scheduled evening meetings and other professional development events.
  • Must be flexible and able to plan, coordinate, and schedule work in collaboration with parents and early education and care providers.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations.
