My client is well established, manufacturing company based in North Yorkshire, they have seen year on year success, with further growth plans for 2026. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hygiene Supervisor to join their team on a Permanent basis.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to ensure that all three sites are cleaned and maintained to the highest possible standards. The role involves thorough cleaning of production and storage areas in line with instructions from the Manager/Supervisor and the Hygiene Manual. Full chemical and job-specific training will be provided, along with all required Personal Protective Equipment.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Carry out thorough cleaning of production and storage areas in accordance with site hygiene standards, training, and the Hygiene Manual
• Perform visual checks on plant and machinery within the assigned area to ensure cleanliness and safe operation
• Report any faults, defects, or safety concerns immediately to the Hygiene Manager or Supervisor for inclusion in daily pre-operation reports
• Use all equipment supplied by the company correctly and at all times to support production, hygiene, and health & safety requirements
• Wear appropriate PPE as supplied and ensure it is used correctly
• Follow cleaning instructions as per training, CIC cards, and equipment guidelines
• Adhere strictly to chemical usage training and COSHH requirements
• Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures relating to cleaning operations and chemical handling
• Implement and maintain a "clean as you go" policy, ensuring work areas, fire exits, and walkways are kept clear at all times
• Carry out cleaning using both high-pressure hoses and manual cleaning methods
• Move and handle equipment safely, including heavy items where required
• Work in both high-risk and low-risk environments
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail at all times
• Attend training sessions as required
• Follow all reasonable instructions given by the Hygiene Manager or Supervisor
• Ensure the site is left safe, secure, and locked when leaving
• Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by management
