Overview
You will be dispensing a wide variety of prescription types including controlled drugs, prescription only medicines and unlicensed drugs for the inpatients of FHN and the community hospitals. You will be expected to have experience of dispensing to L2 pharmacy services standard, have knowledge of a broad range of drugs and be familiar with pharmacy law and professional practice from either hospital or community setting.
Candidates are eligible to apply if they are working towards the L2 dispensing certificate and will have completed this by the end of 2025. The successful candidate will work full time hours 08.30-17:00 Monday - Friday. They will also be included in dispensary and extended/out-of-hours rotas, which are currently:
- Weekend working once every 5 weeks (09:00-13.30 Saturday and Sunday, 09:00-12:00) reimbursed with a full weekday off the following week.
- Contribution to bank holiday working rota.

Training and DevelopmentSouth Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff. This training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities.
We offer further in-house courses, bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at levels 3, 5 and 7.
