Your opportunity at ARC’TERYX :
As a Senior Colour Designer – Women’s apparel, you drive the colour creative process from concept through to development. You lead the delivery of seasonal collections to maintain a strong competitive advantage in all relevant markets, with recognized colour excellence across our product lines. You champion the colour creation process in line with Arc’teryx brand standards, design, product principles, and colour merchandising philosophies.
You work to improve process efficiencies for Colour throughout all of our cross-functional touchpoints.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
Meet your future team:
The Colour & Graphics Team is a hub that links the product design and visual merchandising process with the guest experience. We balance creativity, design, process, and logistics to ensure the successful execution of the Arc’teryx colour and graphics design philosophy.
Core responsibilities include:
Future projects may include:
- Developing and presenting colour vision for seasons and evergreen collections
- Partnering with design on palettes and graphic development
- Collaborating with merchandising teams for enhanced guest experience
- Working with Supply Chain on logistical frameworks
- Sharing seasonal colour strategies with brand and commercial teams
Qualifications:
- Apparel Design Diploma or equivalent experience
- 7+ years in colour and fashion environment
- Exceptional sense for colour harmony and extensive colour theory knowledge
- Superior colour acuity and understanding of materials
- Experience in line development and successful collection delivery
- Knowledge of Arc’teryx products and applications
- Advanced Adobe skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of retail buying, line development, and manufacturing timelines
- Proactive, creative problem solver with attention to detail
- Leadership and influencing skills
- Awareness of global markets and cultural differences
