Like to serve? We’re hiring a Server to work in our bright and welcoming dining room. Join us today and be part of a team that supports meal set-up, service, and clean-up within our retirement residence. Here, we believe mealtime is more than food; it’s friends and family coming together for good conversation and memorable experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner;

Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required;

Assist with cleaning dishware and cutlery after each service;

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas;

Assist with catering and participate in special occasions and theme events;

Help orient and train new culinary employees;

Follow health and safety legislation and departmental procedures;

Comply with provincial regulations and policies;

Respect and promote Resident Rights & Responsibilities;

Attend in-service training to better serve residents;

Participate in staff meetings to stay informed of residence updates;

Engage in the Quality Improvement Program;

Uphold the organization’s values, ethics, and integrity as per the Code of Conduct;

Perform all other assigned tasks.

Required Education, Credentials, and

Experience:

Experience in food service and working with seniors is preferred;

Excellent customer service skills;

Ability to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand/walk for most of the shift;

Proficiency in a second language is an asset;

Current (within 6 months) VPS or willingness to obtain one upon hire.
