Purchasing Manager

Reporting to the Senior Director, Purchasing, the Purchasing Manager is responsible for providing professional and effective purchasing for food products. The Purchasing Manager will build and maintain superior relationships with supplier partners, will successfully negotiate supply contracts, value analysis and pricing, risk mitigation, and coordinate product delivery while achieving service level objectives. You will collaborate with other teams and departments, including finance to ensure the successful development of products.

You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality assurance programs, crisis management, as well as social and environmental goals.

This role requires a thorough understanding of computer software and general word processing, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Google Suite as well as Supply Chain ERP systems experience.

This role requires a minimum of five years of purchasing experience, specifically within the food industry, and preferably within food purchasing. We are seeking a Purchaser with experience in complex supply chain management and intricate pricing structures. Excellent written and communication skills, including exceptional skills in influence and negotiation, strong analytical skills, people management, and customer-service orientation also required.

North Vancouver, BC. Hybrid work schedule. This location is very transit-friendly as it is close to the Sea Bus Station and various bus routes.

A competitive base salary within the range of $120,000 - $140,000 depending on experience. Overall package includes excellent benefits, vacation, and other generous rewards.
