Salary: The Canada base salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000 CAD. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
More specific salary ranges for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, benefits, pension contributions and/or additional incentives.

The Role
An employee-focused manufacturing organization is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join its team. This position serves as a proactive partner to site leadership and supports a wide range of payroll, HR programs, processes, and initiatives, including employee engagement, performance management, labor relations, and retention. A portion of the role also involves providing HR support to other business units and collaborating with corporate HR functions to ensure efficient and consistent delivery of HR services.
Qualifications- Minimum 3 years of payroll experience using ADP Workforce Now (WFN).
- Minimum 3 years of Human Resources or related professional experience.
- At least 1 year of labor relations experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience processing payroll using related software systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Administer payroll for hourly and salaried employees using ADP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Work onsite at the facility as the primary HR contact, supporting day-to-day operations and partnering with leadership on performance management, succession planning, labor relations, and compensation.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and concerns, escalating when appropriate.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and employee offboarding.
- Collaborate with corporate HR teams on payroll, leave administration, accommodations, and onboarding processes.
- Maintain employee records and assist with HR documentation, reporting, and compliance.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure timely fulfillment of staffing needs.
- Support workplace health and safety processes in collaboration with site leadership.
- Drive employee engagement through initiatives such as surveys, listening sessions, stay and exit interviews, and communication activities.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and assist with related programs, training, and events.
- Assist in employee relations and workplace investigations with guidance from HR leadership.
