Edge Tune Power  Inc. (ETP) specializes in advanced Power Management Systems (PMS) and Power Plant Controllers (PPC) for data centers, power plants, microgrids, and large industrial facilities.

In addition, ETP provides advanced real-time simulation and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing services, enabling clients to validate control strategies, de-risk integration, and ensure grid compliance prior to deployment.

The company serves utilities, ISOs, data center developers, independent power producers (IPPs), OEMs, EPC firms, and large industrial clients seeking high-performance and resilient power system solutions.

Role Description

The Director of Power Systems Engineering will lead and oversee advanced power system modeling, dynamic studies, real-time simulation programs, and technical strategy across projects related to PMS, PPC, data centers, and power plants.

This leadership role combines deep technical expertise with strategic direction, client engagement, and team development. The Director will guide high-impact grid integration and industrial electrification initiatives while strengthening ETP’s capabilities in real-time simulation, HIL validation, and advanced control systems.

Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership
  • Perform load flow, short-circuit, transient stability, and EMT studies
  • Oversee real-time simulation and HIL testing programs (e.g., RTDS)
  • Evaluate PMS and PPC control strategies for data centers and power plants
  • Analyze inverter-based resources, generator dynamics, and system interactions
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders
  • Support interconnection studies and grid compliance processes
Strategic & Client Engagement
  • Define technical strategy for PMS and PPC solutions across projects
  • Support proposal development and technical scope definition
  • Engage directly with utilities, data center operators, OEMs, and IPPs
  • Represent ETP in high-level technical discussions and industry forums
  • Identify innovation opportunities in control systems and digital validation
Team & Organizational Leadership
  • Lead and mentor power system engineering teams
  • Establish modeling, simulation, and validation best practices
  • Develop internal technical standards for PMS and PPC projects
  • Strengthen ETP’s real-time simulation and HIL testing capabilities
  • Support talent development and recruitment initiatives
Qualifications
  • Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in advanced power system studies and grid integration
  • Proven leadership experience in technical teams or major projects
  • Extensive experience with real-time simulation platforms and HIL testing (e.g., RTDS)
  • Strong expertise in power system dynamics, inverter-based resources, PMS/PPC control strategies, and industrial electrification
  • Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills
