ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a Bridge Engineer to join our team of specialists that provides detailed engineering and project management on bridge design projects. Your primary task will be to perform assignments with guidance on expected results, receive technical guidance for unusual or complex problems, and obtain supervisory approval on proposed project plans. You may supervise or coordinate the work of other engineers and technicians on assigned projects, but supervision of others is not a continuous responsibility.
- Perform inspections of bridges and other structures
- Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets
- Prepare design calculations and drawings in accordance with applicable design codes
- Prepare standard construction documents, such as technical specifications and tender documents
- Prepare engineering reports and other technical documents
- Perform other duties as required
Your skills and background include:
- Hold a Bachelor s degree in Structural Engineering (Master s degree preferred), with minimum 4 years of related experience in Bridge Design, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Be a registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia, or able to obtain within 12 months of employment
- Have the ability and willingness to go on inspection trips that may last one week or more
- Be familiar with structural design codes like the CHBDC
- Be proficient in drafting software such as AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu
- Prior experience utilizing structural analysis software programs like SoFistik and CSi Bridge

Base compensation
: 86,000$ to 135,000$ for the North Vancouver location only. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, skill set and/or location.
