Senior Power Systems Engineer

Edge Tune Power  Inc. (ETP) specializes in Ultra-Fast Grid Distributed Management Systems (UF-GDMS) to enable real-time operation, control, and protection of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) such as data centers, energy storage, renewable energy, and electric vehicle charging stations at the power distribution level. ETP’s technology reduces grid outages and enhances capabilities for industrial electrification, including data centers. Additionally, ETP provides Control-Hardware-In-the-Loop (C-HIL) real-time simulation and testing services to help clients minimize project costs, time, and risks.

The company serves utilities, ISOs, LDCs, microgrid developers, OEMs, and EPC firms.

The Senior Power Systems Engineer will lead advanced power system modeling, dynamic studies, and real-time simulation activities. This role requires strong expertise in PSCAD, PSS®E, real-time digital simulation, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, supporting grid integration, generation, and large industrial or renewable energy projects.

• Develop and validate power system models using PSCAD and PSS®E
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, transient stability, and EMT studies
• Conduct real-time simulation and HIL testing (e.g., RTDS)
• Analyze system dynamics, inverter-based resources, and generator interactions
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to clients
• Support interconnection and grid compliance studies

• Master’s or PHD degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in power system studies
• Advanced proficiency in PSCAD and PSS®E
• Experience with real-time simulation platforms and HIL testing
• Strong understanding of power system dynamics and grid integration
