Access Inclusion Support Workers are part of an Inclusion Support Team that promotes inclusion for children with disabilities. In addition to providing one-to-one support in summer camps, you will: assist camp staff, volunteers, and families/caregivers to implement existing support plans; promote consistency; and most importantly to help everyone to have fun and make friends at summer camp. We are looking for people with enthusiasm and strong organizational skills to join our summer camp team.
The preferred candidates will have completed coursework in a related field such as the Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Education or Special Education. They will possess: one year experience with children ages 3-18 in a recreational setting; one year experience with individuals with developmental, intellectual, cognitive and/or physical disabilities or behavioural challenges; knowledge of group characteristics and age appropriate activities; the ability to effectively provide guided choices to children;
the ability to encourage appropriate behaviour; the ability to assess situations involving challenging behaviours; the ability to provide on-site training and guidance; and experience working with families and other professionals.
The successful candidates will possess a valid Red Cross Standard First Aid Certification or equivalent. A BC Class 5 driver’s licence with clean driving record and use of your own car to move between summer camps are assets but not required. Candidates must also meet the following Canada Summer Jobs requirements: 30 years of age or under at the start of employment;
a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or recognized Refugee in Canada; hold a valid Social Insurance Number; and be legally entitled to work in Canada. Applicants over the age of 30 may be considered but hiring is grant-dependent.

· Interviews will be scheduled in April 2026 (in person or virtually).
· Mandatory Day Camp Staff Training will occur
June 12 and 13, 2026. Job duration is approximately June - September 2026. Pre-camp meetings, site preparation, training, and camp date preparation to occur before beginning of camps.
The successful candidates will be required to provide a Police Information Check and a copy of your credentials.
