Mulgrave School, one of Canada’s leading independent pre‑K–12 IB World Schools, is looking for caring, flexible, and enthusiastic Early Years Teachers-on-Call to join our community.

As an Early Years TOC, you’ll play an important role in supporting our youngest learners and their teachers—whether stepping in for staff absences, assisting with special events, or helping to create a nurturing, engaging classroom experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the classroom teachers with the day-to-day running of the programme
  • Carry out a program of study prescribed in the lesson plans left by the classroom teacher
  • Assist with lunch coverage
  • Assist with classroom tidy up
  • Support students with toileting when necessary
  • Be willing to incorporate a wide range of teaching strategies to broaden the learning environment for the students
  • Assist with after‑school care until 4:30 pm when required
  • Managing student behaviour and classroom routines
  • Tend to and protect the student’s physical, emotional and social needs as well as routine care needs
  • Provide a respectful, dignified, nurturing and safe play environment for each student in the classroom
  • Interact with the students in meaningful play
  • Work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
What You Bring
  • ECE Teaching Certification or ECE Assistant Certification (with clear criminal record check)
  • Age‑appropriate First Aid Certification
  • A love for working with children and a flexible, can‑do attitude
  • Strong communication skills with colleagues, parents, and students
  • Team spirit, initiative, and adaptability
