About the RoleAs Production Manager
, you will lead the day‑to‑day planning, coordination, and execution of experiential activations and campaigns. Acting as the central hub between internal teams, vendors, and on‑site staff, you will ensure every project runs smoothly, on budget, and on brand.
- Translate client briefs and SOWs into detailed project plans, workback schedules, staffing plans, and event timelines.
- Lead project kick‑offs, manage vendor relationships, and ensure alignment across internal teams.
- Conduct in‑person progress checks and monitor quality on fabrication components of projects.
- Problem‑solve creatively for activation assembly and repairs on site during production.
- Oversee logistics including permits, insurance, compliance, and on‑site operations.
- Serve as the primary operational lead during activations – the go‑to person on site.
- Manage and mentor in‑house staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure efficient setups, quality execution, and safe tear‑downs that align with Health and Safety Compliance/Objectives on sites.
- Track project budgets and expenses weekly, ensuring profitability and accuracy in coordination with Account Managers.
- Forecast and schedule team hours in project tools, tracking actuals vs. budget.
- Identify and communicate potential risks, scope changes, or resource needs early.
- Maintain strong relationships with venues, suppliers, and festival organizers.
- Prepare post‑activation reports highlighting successes, learnings, and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement to elevate production standards and team efficiency.
- 3–5 years of experience in experiential marketing, event production, or project management.
- Proven success managing complex activations from concept to completion.
- Strong understanding of event logistics, production workflows, and budget management.
- Proficiency with tools like , Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Lasso, and Harvest. Square POS System knowledge an asset.
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and vendors in fast‑paced environments.
- Driver’s license with a clean record; ability to drive trucks, machinery, and equipment an asset.
- Knowledge of Work Safe / WSIB best practices for equipment operation, working at heights, and material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of event production equipment (lighting, audio, and site management equipment).
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and calendar/time management.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, event management, or related field.
- PMP, CAPM, or Event Management certifications are an asset.
