We are recruiting a Behaviour Support Assistant to join a determined and forward-thinking secondary school in North Tyneside. You will work closely with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them regulate, re‑engage and succeed in lessons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted support for students with behavioural needs
  • Support pupils in lessons and during unstructured times
  • Use de‑escalation strategies to manage challenging situations
  • Work closely with Heads of Year, SENCO and safeguarding leads
  • Help students develop self‑regulation and positive coping strategies
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience working with young people in education, youth work or care settings
  • Confident, calm and consistent approach
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Able to build positive and professional relationships
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
