Are you a motivated Junior Accounts Assistant with experience in a small to medium-sized accountancy practice? We're looking for someone like you to join our friendly team in North Shields!

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid accounts preparation experience who’s looking to grow their career in a supportive and professional environment.

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Handling bookkeeping using Xero, Quick Books, and Sage
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Assisting with management accounts and general reconciliations
• Liaising with clients to collect documentation and answer queries
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day accounting tasks

• 1–2 years' experience in an accountancy practice (UK-based)
• Comfortable preparing accounts and working with accounting software
• Knowledge of VAT, bookkeeping, and basic accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
• AAT Level 3 (or working towards) or similar qualification preferred
