Snow Removal Equipment Operator (WEEKLY PAY!)
A Snow Removal Equipment Operator/Driver is a flexible schedule position that allows you to work when you are available (on‑call, as needed). The position is responsible for driving a truck or equipment for snow removal or salt dispensing and/or operating equipment used in the snow or ice removal process.
As a Snow Removal Equipment Operator/Driver Таб at Schill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:
- Be experienced in driving in winter weather conditions.
- Attend meetings at the Branch, if requested.
- Monitor weather correspondence and be aware of upcoming snow events.
- Safely drive a snowplow truck or salt truck in various and potentially extreme weather conditions including snow, rain, ice, etc.
- Operate snow or ice removal equipment such as front‑end loader, plow truck, skid steer, and sidewalk machine (ATV, RTV, etc.)
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Must be self‑motivated.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record to meet fleet insurance
Delayed standards is required for operation of a vehicle. This is not required for equipment operation.
Must be able to pass a drugcolon and alcohol test.
Must be able to move and/or lift up to 60 pounds consistently.
1–2 years of experience running snow/ice removal equipment are preferred.
Work ConditionsEmployees performing this job should be able and willing to drive or travel locally, if needed. Schedules for this position may vary and may require flexibility tourno work extended hours. Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays to participate in snow removal activities. This position will require working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including rain, snow, sun, extreme cold or heat.
