Registered Nurse – PRN, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Shift: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm or 8:30 am – 7:00 pm. Call shifts include 7:00 pm – 7:00 am Monday–Sunday and 7:00 am – 7:00 pm Saturday–Sunday. Call shifts count toward commitment.

Join Medical City North Hills, part of HCA Healthcare. We are seeking a dedicated PACU Registered Nurse to provide care to post‑operative patients. The role is PRN and requires on‑call availability during select non‑business hours.

• Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care and manage evidence‑based practices.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to provide safe care independently.
• Assess and monitor patients, document changes and care thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families/caregivers about medical condition, treatment, and follow‑up.
• Manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, respond promptly to complications.
• Provide initial wound care to the surgical site and ensure patient stability during recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain on‑call availability during select non‑business hours.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (CPALS) within 30 days.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license within 30 days.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
