Registered Nurse / RN - Day Surgery

Shift: PRN (Seasonal)

Location:

Medical City North Hills Hospital

Rate: 50.00/hr

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

* All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period

* Reside within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need

* Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period

* During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee

* Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital

* Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy

* Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD)

* Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation

* Current employees are not eligible to join the Seasonal program for 2025-26

* Current employees of HWS are not eligible for the seasonal program

* Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department

Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Details:

* Self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for you to have predictability in your schedule

* Culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff

* Continuous investment in equipment including surgical instruments, devices and patient positioning for you to do your best work with patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room

* Rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard on suggestions for patient care and surgical workflow improvement

* On-call is required during select non-business hours
