The City of North Richland Hills is seeking a Finance Director who will lead a high‑performing department, ensuring the City’s long‑term financial stability through strategic planning and clear communication with City leadership. Key priorities include evaluating the newly implemented utility billing system, leveraging technology, and strengthening procedures, training, and operational efficiency.

• Lead the Department of Finance in day‑to‑day operations.
• Evaluate and optimize the utility billing system and other financial technologies.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for financial stability and growth.
• Safeguard fiduciary responsibilities and act as the City’s finance subject‑matter expert.
• Communicate financial information clearly to City leadership and the public.
• Foster a collaborative, service‑oriented culture that supports continued growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or accounting (required);
  Master’s degree preferred.
• At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in local government financial administration or accounting, with a minimum of two years in a management role.
• Credentials as a Certified Government Finance Officer or Certified Public Accountant are a plus.
• Strong local government finance expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance detail orientation with a big‑picture perspective.
• Any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge and abilities will be considered.
