Overview
Summary: The Registered Nurse is accountable for the provision of safe, efficient and therapeutically effective care on the patient care unit to which they are assigned. Care is delivered in compliance with hospital policies, procedures, legal and regulatory standards. Specific components of the registered nurse's role include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. The RN documents this nursing process on all prescribed forms.
The RN develops and maintains collaborative, professional relationships with other members of the health care team. The RN prioritizes and coordinates the patient's care with other members of the health care team. Consistent demonstration of all necessary competencies for the position assumed and unit assigned is required. Actively contributes to the evaluation of patient care and nursing practices through continuous quality improvement efforts.
Accepts responsibility for personal professional development and contributes to the growth of others on the health care team. Fulfills responsibilities as an employee of St. Joseph Health Services of RI.
Licensure: Current RI RN licensure, required. BLS required. ACLS required. PALS required.
ExperienceExperience: 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred.
