Overview
Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. The individual is a female in need of a caregiver to support her with companion assistance in community outings. She enjoys going to the movies and out to eat.
The independent contract position pays $16.00 per hour.
Schedule: 20 hours per week, morning shift, flexible days.
Qualifications and fit- Have a positive outlook and contagious energy
- Demonstrate patience and compassion
- Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
- Assisting with personal hygiene
- Helping with transfers and mobility
- Meal/snack preparation
- Ensuring individuals safety and maintaining a safe living environment
- Facilitate community involvement by accompanying the individual to the park
- Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
- Complete daily progress notes
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
- Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training
- Have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Are 18 years of age or older
