Overview

Assistant Store Managers support the Store Manager in leading all store associates to deliver an exceptional client experience, manage operations, drive sales, and maintain brand standards. They are responsible for hiring, developing, and supervising team members while ensuring that all company processes and safety directives are followed.

Primary Duties
  • Brand:
    Provide supervision and support the direction and planning of associates’ daily goals to maximize sales and drive customer loyalty; ensure brand standards such as merchandising, displays, marketing, back rooms, and dress code are met; act as point of contact to resolve customer issues.
  • People:
    Engage, train, and develop the team to achieve positive results; recruit and build a strong external candidate network; coach and counsel associates; maintain positive relations and communicate consistently with AM/DM.
  • Operations:
    Execute all company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement; support digital strategies such as Omni‑channel fulfillment; manage inventory, payroll, opening/closing procedures, and follow company directives and projects.
  • Safety/Loss Prevention:
    Protect the store environment, enforce inventory and cash control procedures, analyze reporting and tools, and comply with HAZMAT training.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3+ years retail sales or customer service experience.
  • At least 1+ year of prior management experience.
  • Ability to lead or support a team to meet business objectives.
  • Effective communication skills with team and management.
  • Scheduling flexibility to meet business needs.
  • Cosmetology license desirable but not required.
