Part-Time up to 29 Hours Per Week, Pay Rate: $15.00 Per Hour

Summary / Primary PurposePerforms routine cleaning of the building. Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of the building and TSA owned properties. This role will drive truck/van for collection of donations for Pantry or other Corps programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Responsible for routine janitorial tasks to include clean and sanitize bathrooms, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors, empty/clean all wastebaskets, floor care and interior and exterior windows as necessary.
- Performs routine housekeeping duties such as replacing light bulbs and keep janitorial closet in a tidy and clean manner.
- Responsible for general maintenance to including, touch up painting, snow and debris removal around the building.
- Makes routine contacts for purpose of scheduling/organizing daily pick-ups of food and other donations.
- Pick-up and unload donations as needed/scheduled for the pantry and other Corps programs as directed.
Sort, box, and organize donations and distribution to the proper departments. - Oversee loading/unloading of truck ensuring the safety of personnel and volunteers
- Responsible for truck/van maintenance and safety
- Move furniture or put together furniture on a needed basis in any of the TSA owned properties.
- Tear down and take out boxes from the family services area.
- Serves as a point of contact with outside vendors or contractors for maintenance or repairs on company properties.
- Driving is an essential function of the role.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) and related experience in driving 14-foot box truck, including truck into close spaces, such as docks and alleys.
Qualifications- Ability to be flexible and able to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
- Ability to utilize pallet jack.
- Basic computer skills with ability to access payroll, timekeeping and personal data via a web-based system.
- Attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
Strong independent judgement.
Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business. Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust be able to obtain and keep current DOT compliant certifications.

Ability to stand, bend and reach for extended periods of time, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate vehicles and forklift, and other storage movement equipment.
This position will require the ability to lift and/or move more than 75 pounds occasionally.
The environment is where the clients are so it might be loud or busy le performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and or humid conditions and varying temperatures. The work environment is in vehicles and areas with near moving mechanical parts and loud noise. The environmental conditions include exposure to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
