Job Description At Atlas were providing services that enable communities to flourish and thrive and if youre a Construction Materials Testing Technician ready to perform construction related field tests and committed to doing meaningful work then this is your moment Youll conduct construction materials field testing and quality control in accordance with safety QC plans and project specifications Join a dynamic value driven client and community focused environment where your work creates a lasting positive impact for the people and communities we serve Core Responsibilities Performs construction related field tests as directed by the Construction Materials Testing CMT Manager and Supervisory Staff Daily commutable travels to various construction sites primarily throughout Nebraska with the occasional overnight andor weekend work when required Relays information to project manager andor engineer with limited in field decision making Transports equipment test specimens andor documents to field personnel laboratory clients or other offices and provides physical assistance in equipment set up Enters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronically Performs field quality control tests of concrete and masonry construction Performs field density testing on soil concrete asphalt and other construction materials Assists other technicians or professional staff on tasks and supports other departments as necessary Follows Atlas safety policies and procedures Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs Ability to follow Atlas QC plan and SOPs

Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent

Valid drivers license

Physical strength stamina and dexterity to lift and move 50 lbs stoop bend and stand throughout the course of a workday in varying weather conditions in varying terrain

Motivated career oriented individual striving to learn and achieve within the construction industry

Must be willing to travel near the reporting office and surrounding areas as required by assignments

Works well independently

Experience with within a construction related field is a plus Should be safety conscious a team player energetic self motivated eager to learn possess good written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail

Technical requirements Ability to work toward and achieve industry required certifications eg APNGA Nuclear Certification American Concrete Institute ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1 OSHA 10 hour Construction etc Basic computer skills
