You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, manage access points, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while documenting activity.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.

+ Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, substations, yards, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.

+ Monitor access points and control entry for employees, contractors, and deliveries by checking identification, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate access logs.

+ Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and/or assistance per post orders.

+ Document patrols, incidents, and maintenance concerns in daily reports, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal supervision for follow-up.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Have 2+ years of security experience.

+ Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
