Position Specific Description
The Early Stage Senior Project Manager leads pre construction activities for Wind, High Voltage and Data Center projects within the E&C organization. This role ensures early stage efforts are well coordinated across Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, and Construction so projects advance with a clear, executable plan for schedule, budget, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate early stage project development across matrixed teams.
- Develop and refine project technical scope.
- Interface with permitting, land acquisition, and interconnection teams.
- Support scheduling, cost estimating, and financial model inputs.
- Competitively source and contract geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction services.
- Represent E&C in project updates, risk discussions, and management briefings.
- Oversee a portfolio of projects across the U.S.
- Manage and mentor a team of project managers, supporting career development and performance quality.
- Note:
This role does not include site based construction management.
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience in renewable energy project engineering or construction.
- Strong project management, communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Background in wind and high voltage projects.
- Action oriented with strong business and commercial acumen.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Works collaboratively with resources in various disciplines to determine project priorities and work plans
- Meets corporate objectives with limited project management, scheduling and estimating resources
- Ensures projects are efficiently, effectively and safely implemented in accordance with department procedures and policies
- Manages walk down of planned work, validates acceptance of completed work to design requirements, approves contractor payment requests
- Verifies constructability, ensures proper resource allocations, assesses field status and resolves issues as needed
- Leads project meetings and reviews budget, risk tracker, and contingency allocations
- Interfaces with project's designated management committees, or acts as Executive Director of project activities
- Supervises activities and/or coordinates activities or groups, such as safety programs, engineering, construction, budget, and analysis and contract administration
- Oversees commissioning activities to meet corporate objectives, with limited project management, scheduling and estimating resources
