BESS Project Manager-Level 2 - Experienced (6 - 10 Years)
Job Description
Join our Engineering & Construction Business Unit as a Project Manager in Juno Beach, FL, where you will coordinate daily project activities for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
Your role will involve managing internal and external resources to support Development, Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, Scheduling, and Construction activities from the pre-construction stage to the point of Construction.
Responsibilities
+ Critically coordinate highly matrixed project development teams to ensure resources focus on the right activities at the right time to meet project schedules.
+ Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, and interconnection teams to ensure all project variables are identified and incorporated.
+ Develop the project's technical scope and optimize project variables to improve technical and financial feasibility.
+ Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations, and jurisdictional needs.
+ Coordinate engineering, estimating, and procurement requirements.
+ Support the E&C engineering team with technical attributes for design development and the cost estimating team for financial model development.
+ Leverage market data to ensure a healthy financial model, present it to respective business units, and manage it through executive budget approvals.
+ Competitively source, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts for critical services including geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services.
+ Uphold and represent E&C's interests on assigned projects.
+ Engage with software applications to support activities, manage critical data and deliverables, and report on key indicators.
+ Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives for growth scaling.
+ Communicate and interface actively with Executive Leadership, Suppliers, Regulatory Agencies, Local Communities, and other stakeholders.
+ Present project progress and risk mitigation in management meetings.
+ Ensure projects moving to the Construction stage are ready for handover to the Construction Project Manager with a comprehensive and executable construction plan.
Essential Skills
+ Excellent project management, communication, financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Finance/Accounting.
+ Experience in related engineering and construction of renewable energy projects.
+
Experience with electricity markets, renewables, and/or battery projects is a plus.
+ 5+ years of experience in project management.
+ PMP Certification and advanced Excel skills are preferred.

Work Environment
This role involves managing multiple projects at various stages, with a current portfolio spanning the United States and Canada. Occasional travel is required to support Development with local public hearings and visit project locations. The work environment can be either a corporate office or remote, depending on skill set and experience.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Juno Beach, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
