ResponsibilitiesKforce has a client in Juno Beach, FL that is seeking a Solar Project Engineer who will be supporting solar farm design. The Solar Project Engineer will manage 3rd party contractor teams to develop engineering designs for solar projects. Responsibilities span from initial concept definition to final commissioning and involve continuous coordination with diverse stakeholders such as environmental, procurement, transmission services, and project managers during early stages.
The role requires applying value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance for complex systems, and involves thorough knowledge of electrical, structural, civil, and materials engineering disciplines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a record of coordinating project stakeholders and mobilizing engineering teams to achieve business objectives, are essential. Preferred candidates have experience managing schedules and budgets for major capital projects.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering – Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace or Chemical
- 5+ years of experience; exceptions can be made for less than 5 years if that experience is a good match
- Engineering and project management experience on utility‑scale solar projects is preferred
- Great communication, leadership and project management skills
Engineering and project management in the following fields may also be considered:
- DG/commercial solar
- Other technologies in the power industry – wind, BESS, combined cycle, nuclear, hydrogen, substation, transmission, etc.
- Strong candidates with experience outside of the power industry (aerospace, civil/stormwater, etc.)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
